The W.P.C.A.O. is a provincial chapter of the Canadian Welsh Pony and Cob Society which offers Ontario members a quarterly Provincial newsletter and information about Ontario events, while focusing on promoting Welsh ponies & cobs in Ontario. The group offers
- an annual social potluck luncheon,
- supports events such as clinics,
- runs the Canadian All Welsh Show which occurs each year in mid-summer, and
- offers an annual High Point Awards program for consistent strong performance across a variety of breeding and performance classes.
The W.P.C.A.O. holds an annual championship to select the very best animal of the year. Qualifying shows are held throughout the year from which ponies are slected to compete at the Royal Winter Fair in the Champion of Champions Program.
Shows generally include
- line classes,
- saddle classes, and
- driving classes.
The W.P.C.A.O. also offers members free website advertising for their animals, vehicles, tack, and farms . Photo ads and ads with links are $5 each, with pictures to be kept to approximately 50K bytes each (JPEG recommended).
